Foot Corn: Treat Your Foot Corn At Home
Foot Corn Treatment
You may be wondering what a foot corn is. A foot corn is another term some people use to describe callus on feet. Calluses can be unsightly and annoying. The best cure to get rid of them is to treat your foot corn at home. Calluses are created over a period of time, resulting from friction and pressure exerted to the foot. Most calluses are usually found on the base of the foot. If you do have a callus, you can try callus treatment at home to relieve the discomfort and pain associated with them. You will need a pumice, one of the many we recommend is the Diane Rectangular Pumice Stone. You will also need Epsom Salt , something to soak your feet in and insoles.
Once you have all the necessary items, fill your soaking tub with warm water and pour about a hand full of Epsom Salt in the water. Make sure the water is not to hot but warm enough to sooth the feet. Soak your feet in the warm water for about 15mins to soften the skin. Once the skin has become soft, use the pumice stone to smooth the callous down. If it does not cause you pain, file the calluses down as much as you can without injuring your feet.
Important Tip to Prevent Foot Corn
Another tip to help prevent and treat calluses is to try and wear comfortable shoes as much as possible. Wear shoes that are roomy and comfortable. This may sound redundant but some people will wear shoes because "they are cute or the latest trend." One of the worst things you can do to your feet is wear shoes that are to little or cause you pain. Wash, moisturize, and clean your feet on a regular basis to keep the healthy.
