336 Million Reasons Balls Have Power
81-year-old, Louise White, of Rhode Island is $336.4 million dollars richer. She won the Powerball lottery! Louise's attorney says she was a regular lotto player who bought the winning ticket at a local Stop & Shop supermarket in Newport.
The state of Rhode Island will get over $14,000,000 dollars in taxes and Louise will take a single lump sum of $210 million. Lousie has already established a trust for the Jackpot.
Louise says:
"We still didn't believe it, so we turned off the computer and turned it back on and went back to the website and my numbers were still there," White said in the statement. "We hugged each other and jumped up and down screaming!! … We hid the ticket in the Bible and went for breakfast on Sunday since we couldn't do anything with it."
