Lauryn Hill: Wawa Welcome America

 

 

 

Lauryn Hill looked radiant, beautiful, and natural at the Wawa Welcome America in Philadelphia performing at yesterday's festivities.  She was a surprise guest as she was the last to perform in front of a crowd of thousands.  The singer is facing jail time for tax evasion and could face up to three years in prison.  She came on the music scene with the group "The Fugees" and later garnered solo success with her album "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill."

Did Katie Holmes Drop an Early ELLE DIVORCE CLUE

 

 

Katie Holmes covers Elle August 2012.  She looks confident and bold as she poses in a Tom Ford tank and stretch trousers from her own line Holmes & Yang.  What is really raising eyebrows is what she said in the interview.  The 33-year-old actress was asked about Tom and she said:

 

"I definitely feel much more comfortable in my own skin," Holmes, 33, says of being in her thirties. "I feel sexier. I think in my twenties – it’s like you’re trying too hard to figure everything out…I’m starting to come into my own. It’s like a new phase."

 “He has been Tom Cruise for 30 years, I know who I am and where I am and where I want to go, so I want to focus on that.

 

Keep in mind, Katie did this interview some weeks back as magazines generally do spreads and preparation weeks in advance.  Katie also was asked whether being Mrs. Tom Cruise helped her in the industry.  She replied that nothing isn't handed to you and if anything you have to work harder.  The issue for August 2012 goes on sale on newsstands July 17, 2012.  Looking fab Katie!

Ochocinco & Evelyn Lozado Tie the KNOT

 

 

Evelyn Lazado & Chad Ochocinco got married yesterday in Miami.  The pair got married and VH1 cameras were there and rolling.  They have a scheduled wedding ceremony that is set to air on the network in September.  Ocho live tweeted during the event, making comments like:

 

“Live tweeting from my wedding… should be a first I'm assuming, music is playing, can't see my guest right now but they're here… #nervous,”….  “I don't recall sending the butterflies in my stomach and invite,” he continued. “Why am I shaking like I'm in Alaska[?],” he wrote.

Rihanna's Dad Would Like Her To Get Back With Chris Brown

 

 

Rihanna's father, Ronald Fenty, seems to think that she and Chris Brown should get back together.  In a recent interview with Grazia, he is quoted as saying:

 

"Chris has matured a lot. I think everybody has to put the past behind them. And they seem to have done that.

"Being a couple is all up to her… I just wish her the best. I hope things will work out."

"Everyone is entitled to make a mistake. Her fans are hoping it will happen. They see them as a perfect couple."

 

 

Ri is currently mourning the death of her beloved grandmother.  When Rihanna's grandmother passed, Chris offered condolences last week and tweeted:

 

"Praying for family and the lost loved one," he wrote on his Twitter account. "She was like my grandmother. Love you GRAN GRAN! RIP.".

Ashley Greene gets spicy for a new spread in Esquire August 2012 edition.  The "Twilight" star poses in seductive lingerie as she speaks to the mag about working on "Twilight" and her plans for the future.  She told the magazine:

 

"In my second year in Los Angeles, when I was eighteen, I wasn't getting any bookings," ……"so I stopped going out, stopped partying. It was a matter of getting to work. I had to focus."

 

The 25-year-old is looking forward to her 30's and is focusing mainly on her career.  She is looking forward to what the future holds.
