Robin Roberts: Loses Her Mom As She Fights Cancer

GMA's host Robin Roberts has been battling her courageous fight with cancer and has had to deal with the more tragic news.  As of yesterday she lost her mother, Lucimarian Roberts.  Her, mother, 88, died Thursday night in Mississippi, which is experiencing major flooding from the Isaac storm.  The death comes as Roberts announced she was leaving GMA for her medical leave to geta bone marrow transplant.  Robin said in a statement on Facebook:

 "A CD of her favorite hymns is playing in her room. So thankful for my sister, Dorothy, and the nurses who have been caring for her. I will cherish these moments I have with mom. Then focus on what is ahead of me undergoing a bone marrow transplant."
