Katherine Webb Rising Star

You probably know Katherine Webb by now.  She is the beautiful Alabama and Miss Alabama USA girlfriend of A.J. McCarron who shot to instant fame after being shown during the BCS Championship game and ESPN commentator, 73-year-old Bert Mursburger, ogling over her beauty.

Well now, the Alabama native has received many lucrative offers one being to appear in the up-and-coming issue of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition which goes on sale February 11.

Katherine spoke with S.I and talked her life, new found fame and more:

SI.com: How surprised were you to get the call from Sports Illustrated?

Webb: I was completely dumbfounded. It was so shocking to me because literally overnight I go from being AJ's girlfriend and going to support him in the championship game to being on every major media news outlet. It's just so surprising to me. I don't know what God has planned, but obviously he's working on something. When Sports Illustrated called it just became even more real that this is happening. Every single model wants to be in Sports Illustrated, and I feel extremely blessed to have that opportunity.

SI.com: So it's safe to assume you said yes right away when you got the call?

Webb: Oh, my gosh. Absolutely. I've been approached by different publications, but I think a lot of America appreciated how classy I was, and I got a lot of responses saying I was America's sweetheart and all that kind of stuff. I'm from Alabama and I have morals and I have class. That's my personality. A lot of people have said I'm the anti-Kim Kardashian and I'm all right with that.

SI.com: Well, Kim Kardashian has done all right for herself.

Webb: She made herself into who she is and that's fine and all that. But I guess the way I want to go about all this is, I just want to have a positive image for myself. I want girls to be able to look up to me and to say, "I want to be just like her one day." That's what I did as Miss Alabama and I loved that.

SI.com: How long have you done modeling?

Webb: I've done modeling since I was 18, but it didn't take off until I moved to Los Angeles. Modeling has always been something I've been really good at, and has been something that's helped pay bills. And it's something I enjoy doing, as well. Every model wants to be successful in her career, so for Sports Illustrated to reach out to me is just amazing. I couldn't be anymore blessed.

SI.com: Take me through Monday night. You're at the game, it got boring quickly, although maybe not for you, but for most people, and then a wave of buzz happens from Brent Musburger's comments to your Twitter blowing up. What was that night like?

Webb: I don't think it became real to me until after I left the stadium and a reporter walked up to me and asked if I realized what was happening, because my phone was dead, so I had no idea what was going on. He was like, "Do you realize you are the star of the game?" I was like, "No, what are you talking about?" So he told me the cameras focused on me and AJ's mom and I had over 100,000 Twitter followers, and I was like "Wait a minute, are you serious?"

SI.com: Did you get a chance to at least celebrate Alabama's win?

Webb: Yeah. Afterward, all the football players went back to the hotel where they were staying. I left immediately and went straight to the hotel. By then, I had charged my phone, so I kinda knew what was happening. Immediately after I stepped out of the car and walked into the hotel, I had people come up to me asking me for autographs and asking me to sign memorabilia, and that stuff is now being sold on eBay. But we did end up celebrating all night. I didn't get any sleep. I didn't close my eyes for 24 hours.

SI.com: You told Matt Lauer earlier this week that you didn't think Brent Musburger or ESPN should've apologized for his comments. Have you heard from ESPN or Musburger?

Webb: I haven't heard from anyone personally. I heard ESPN offered an apology, but I didn't hear from them personally.

SI.com: Did you know before all this happened about Brent Musburger "discovering" Jenn Sterger?

Webb: I had no idea.

SI.com: With newfound fame comes a downside. What's been the best and worst part of this week?

Webb: I've realized you're not going to please everyone and you're not going to appeal to everyone and show who you are to everyone. That's one of the downsides. But the upside is that one thing I want to do is be a good role model. Hollywood has such few good role models and I partially feel like this is why this has happened for me, and I really want to promote that and do good for others.

SI.com: What has it been like to be an Auburn grad dating an Alabama student? Can you even walk around the Auburn campus anymore?

Webb: Luckily, I graduated in May 2011, so I haven't had a reason to go back on campus unless it's been for a football game. I've had a little bit of backlash from Auburn, and I understand. Auburn and Alabama have one of the biggest rivalries in all of college football. But I lived in Los Angeles and there aren't a lot of great guys in L.A., so for me to find someone who has a good, humble heart and who is amazing and treats me so well, that's a really special find for me. At the end of the day, football is just a game. I don't care if he's from Alabama or wherever, I don't pay attention to the rivalry when it comes to my personal relationship.

SI.com: Is it true you guys met through Twitter?

Webb: Yeah.

SI.com: So what else is next for you?

Webb: I've had opportunities to do hosting and some television shows. But right now I'm just going along for the ride and seeing what happens. But at the end of the day, my relationship with AJ is what's important and if this stuff is going to hinder the relationship, then I don't have a problem saying no to certain things, especially if they'd embarrass me or his family.

SI.com: Do you think you'll be able to attend any Alabama games next year with your newfound fame?

Webb: I was thinking about that this morning. I might have to wear a hat next year. But I'm not going to let the fear of the media keep me from supporting him.

Usain’s INSANE BOLT

Usain's INSANE BOLT

Usain Bolt proved many of his naysayers wrong.  Prior to the men's 100m last night, many of his critics wandered whether Bolt still had it in him to retain the title of "the fastest man in the world."  He put it all to rest yesterday as he defended his title to a packed house in London and finished first, winning gold.  He set a new record of 9.63 seconds.  The charismatic running star said he wasn't worried about the start, but the finish was important.

Rumors had dogged the star leading up to the race as his fellow country Yohan Blake, who ironically finished second in the race, defeated him in the men's 100 & 200m in the Jamaican Olympic trials.  After yesterday's performance, though, he answered all the questions people had about whether he could pull it off!

Dannielynn Asks Dad “Why Did Mommy Die?”

Dannielynn Asks Dad "Why Did Mommy Die?"

It's hard to believe it has been over 5 years since Anna Nicole Smith passed away in the Bahamas.  At the time, she had just given birth to little Dannielynn and suffered the loss of her son 20-year-old son, Daniel.  Dannie was just a baby when her mother passed and probably can't remember much about her.  Her father, Larry Birkhead, has slowly been introducing her back into the public's eye and taped an interview with Good Morning America's, Robin Roberts.

He and Dannie took a recent trip to the Bahamas, where Anna and her brother Daniel are buried and she asked her father the one dreaded question that he knew one day he would have to explain.  She asked him, "Why did mommy die?"  He said he told her, "And I said, ‘You know, they, doctors couldn’t fix her. But if you’re good … you’ll get to see her someday."  He added that she is as well-adjusted as one can expect and when they are in Kentucky, she can have a "normal life".

Rihanna Snappy At Esquire About Chris Brown Questions

Rihanna Snappy at Esquire About Chris Brown Questions

Rihanna is on the cover of Esquire Magazine's July 2012.  As always she looks sexy and curvaceous, but it was the interview with the journalist that is making waves.  Rihanna is tired of all the Chris Brown questions and are they back together or aren't they, but the editor didn't quite get the memo.   Check out the interview how the interview went south:

Esquire: What has been the Twitter response to the Chris Brown remixes?

Rihanna: Some love it, some hate it, some love it but hate that we did it. But the response in the end has been incredible.

Esquire: Was that [the recording session] the first time you’d seen him in a while?

Rihanna: When would we have seen each other? We’ve both been working and touring. [changes the subject]. This is really good food.

Esquire: It proved quite a controversial thing.

Rihanna: Well…definitely. Definitely. It caught me a little off-guard to be honest…especially the amount of…negative attention. Because it never occurred to me how this was a problem, you know. It really didn’t.

Esquire: Because enough time had passed that it was OK?

Rihanna: I thought people were gonna be surprised that we finally did a record together, but I didn’t see how people could think it was a bad thing, you know? In my mind, it was just music.

Esquire: Some people felt it sent the wrong message.

Rihanna: [Angrily] What was that? What message would that be?

Esquire: You’d gone back to someone who put you in the hospital.

Rihanna: [Getting angry] Oh really? Did I?

Esquire: Well… yes.

Rihanna: Did I? Did I? Did I?

Esquire: You went and recorded with him, yes.

Rihanna: Okay. In a completely professional environment. And on a complete professional note. I mean, if I went back to him [as a girlfriend], then that’s a whole different discussion. And if I ever do, then that’s something that y’all have to talk to me about when – if – that ever happens. Until then, look at it for what it is. I think a lot of people jumped to an assumption that was incorrect and they ended up looking stupid.

Esquire: The assumption you were dating again?

Rihanna: Because of a song. How stupid. If I was together with every collaborator I worked with… f-ck my life.

Esquire: Still, the lyrics didn’t do much to dispel that impression. His opening line is “Girl I want to f*** you right now/been a long time/I’ve been missing your body”. You reply: “Remember how you did it/If you still want to kiss it/Then come and get it”.

Rihanna: That was the tone before he was even on the record. You think it was going to be about hopscotch or jump rope?

Esquire: So neither of you for a minute thought “This is going to put the cat among the pigeons”?

Rihanna: I could never see anything wrong with making music.

Esquire: Maybe the thing is that as an artist your personal and private life are intertwined, and you’ve already played on this. The first song you put out after the beating incident was “Love the Way You Lie,” about domestic violence.

Rihanna: Absolutely. But “Love The Way You Lie” was me as an artist working with Eminem as an artist, telling our stories individually. On a track together. I’m lost. I’m confused as to what you’re trying to get at.

Esquire: That it’s hard to separate the person who’s been the victim of domestic violence and the pop star singing about domestic violence.

Rihanna: I know. And that’s how f-cked up society is. There’s a lot of s**t y’all can’t get over. Y’all holding your breath on a lot of stuff that doesn’t matter. When you realize who you live for, and who’s important to please, a lot of people will actually start living. I am never going to get caught up in that. I’m gonna look back on my life and say that I enjoyed it – and I lived it for me- and God. This is turning into a tacky interview. What do you really want to talk about? I’m not here to [talk] about messy s**t.

Esquire: It’s just what’s been making the headlines recently.

Rihanna: OK! So do you want to talk about everything on Google? Or do you want to talk about stuff that my fans want to know? Let’s get to the real stuff. The stuff that’s important.

Esquire: What do your fans want to know?

Rihanna: You tell me, as a journalist. You’re asking the questions and I give you the answers. I can’t give the questions too.

Esquire: I’m sorry it’s upset you.

Rihanna: It hasn’t upset me. It upsets me that you keep asking the same kind of questions about stuff that’s trivial. What’s there to talk about? Are all your questions like that? Let’s move onto the next one.

Esquire: It’s just that you haven’t given an interview for a while. A lot has happened.

Rihanna: You think I haven’t given an interview for a while? I did four this morning.

Esquire: Did they go any better than this?

Rihanna: We’ll see [when they come out] tomorrow

Did John Trovolta Pulp a Masseur’s Fiction?

Did John Trovolta Pulp a Masseur's Fiction?

JohnTravolta

Actor John Travolta is in hot water as a masseur suing him alleging he tried to have sex with him during a session.  TMZ reports:

According to the lawsuit, Travolta saw the masseur's ad online, and scheduled an appointment for $200 an hour. The masseur did not know it was Travolta when the appointment was booked, but followed instructions and met up with a black Lexus SUV, which Travolta was driving.

According to the suit, Travolta and the masseur, who says he saw Trojan condoms in the center console, drove to the Beverly Hills Hotel and went to Travolta's bungalow.

The suit claims Travolta stripped naked, appearing semi-erect. The masseur says he told Travolta to lay down on the table and the first hour went without incident. Then, according to legal docs, Travolta began rubbing the masseur's leg, touched his scrotum and the shaft of his penis.

The masseur claims he told Travolta he did not have sex with his clients, but Travolta was undeterred, offering to do a "reverse massage," adding, "Come on dude, I'll jerk you off!!!"

The suit goes on to allege Travolta then masturbated and told the masseur he got to where he was "due to sexual favors he had performed when he was in his 'Welcome Back Kotter' days," adding "Hollywood is controlled by homosexual Jewish men who expect favors in return for sexual activity."

The masseur — who is only listed as John Doe — claims Travolta called him a loser, but then doubled the hourly rate and sent him on his way.

The suit seeks $2 million plus punitive damages.

A representative for John has said that John was on the East Coast on the day the massuer alleges the incident happened and the lawsuit is a complete fabrication.  They also pointed out the person who filed the lawsuit filed it under "John Doe" and John is confident he will get the case thrown out and will sue the person and their representation for malicious prosecution.

Nate Dogg’s Manager Says Friends Abandoned Him And Aren’t Stepping Up

Nate Dawg's Manager Says Friends Abandoned Him And Aren't Stepping Up

Nate Dog is gone and things for his estate have gotten even worse  Nate's estate and record label owner David Michery were sued by the medical facility who cared for him from 08-10 after he had a massive stroke.  The facility got a judgement against the estate and now David Michery is left with a $300,000+ tab.

David tells TMZ.. he DID vouch for the bill back in 2010…but only because nobody else would step up to the plate…"none of Nate's so-called rapper friends."

"I was the only person who would come forward because I didn't want him to die. Me and Nate have 20 years history together and I did what everyone should have done and tried to save his life…not let him get kicked out in the streets and die"

What do you think?
