Disturbing Text Sent to Family of Missing Young Woman
Rajwinder Kaur is a young woman who resided in Queens, New York. The 26-year-old went missing Sunday after going to do volunteer work at a homeless shelter in Brooklyn, NY and never returned. Hours later, her sister, Gurpreet, received a very disturbing text stating: "The girl with this phone is dead, was smiling". The family is terrified. There have been no other traces of Rajwinder besides her phone being tracked to Brooklyn the night she disappeared and then, it was shut off. Police have told the family that she may have joined a cult and the text could mean the old Rajwinder is dead to you and the new one is with us.
The family is not buying that. They said she did take a recent trip to India and became more spiritual, but she would not join a religious cult. The family is doing all they can to get the word out about Rajwinder's disappearance. They have taken to Facebook and Twitter and posted flyers.
