Robin Roberts I Have MDS but I'm Going To Beat This
Robin Roberts Good Morning America
Robin Roberts, Good Morning American anchor, announced earlier today that she has MSD. MSD is a malignant disorder of the bone marrow sometimes referred to as pre-leukemia. Roberts, 51, beat breast cancer five years ago and she learned about the diagnoses on what was also supposed to be an exciting day. The day "GMC" beat NBC's "Today" show in ratings for the first time in 16 years was bittersweet for Roberts.
Roberts handled the emotional situation with grace and poise, explaining her course of treatment to the world. This fall she expects to have a bone marrow transplant and her sister will be the donor.
