Bobby Womack Gets Out of the Hospital From A Pneumonia Scare

 

 

68-year-old singer, Bobby Womack, has been released from the hospital following a pneumonia scare.  He has successfully recovered from the illness.  The singer who is known for hits like "It's All Over Now" also has colon cancer is scheduled to undergo surgery.  

 

In a statement of Facebook, his publicist wrote:

Because of stories circulating regarding the health of soul icon Bobby Womack, we felt it necessary to set the record straight. We're pleased to let everyone know that Bobby was released from hospital yesterday afternoon following a successful recovery from pneumonia. Bobby has cancer and is scheduled to undergo surgery later this month. Bobby stated, “My family, friends and I are looking forward to a successful surgery and speedy recovery. I want to thank all of my fans for their prayers, love and well wishes. I look forward to seeing all of you on the road in support of my new release.” 

Bobby Womack makes his return to the world of recorded music later this summer with a new Damon Albarn, Richard Russell and Bobby Womack produced album on XL Recordings titled The Bravest Man In The Universe.
