In a celebrity obsessed culture where there is no shortage of entertainers who crave the limelight and adulation of their adoring fans, there are plenty of choices to choose from to name as Entertainer of 2012. This year has given us plenty of entertainment from Box Office smashes like "The Hunger Games" & "The Avengers" to President Obama's overwhelming shellacking of Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney; 2012 has been a pretty memorable year! Throughout all the constant barrage of the chit-chatter of 2012, one name has remained constant and that is R.I.H.A.N.N.A.
This year has been the Year of Ri. Known to natives of her hometown of Barbados as Robyn, or to the the world as Rihanna, Ri(anna) or just RiRi, she has been like a machine, selling out crowds, inspiring fashion, and always sharing her everyday life. Not one to hold back about who she is or what she does, Rihanna simply declares it Unapologetic, which aptly fits the name of her latest album!
Rihanna has had her ups-and-downs this year, one of which, losing her grandmother who she called GranGranDolly. This year alone, though, the girl has achieved more than most artist would in their entire career. She released another perfume called Nude, has been featured on numerous magazine covers to mention like Vogue & GQ just to name a few, has a new Fashion Show coming on the Style Network in 2013, played to numerous sold out crowds, named Vogue Italia's Woman of the Year, GQ's Obsession of the Year, and MTV's Rockstar of the Year, has done countless collaborations with singers like Drake and Chris Brown, and starred in the movie Battleship, and the list goes on and on.
Her life could read like a never-ending reaity show. Jet-setting, concerts, high-fashion clothing, adoring fans,constantly under the microscope, it is a wander how she does it all. The constant love triangle with former beau Chris Brown & Karrueche Tran to the endless tattooing of her body, she doesn't hold back on anything, but yet has a mystique and mystery about her that leaves her fans and haters wanting more. One day she could be quoting Bible verses via Twitter, then the next day she shares a picture of herself smoking a joint. This this the behavior that has made her one of the biggest popstars on the planet.
Rihanna is a self-admitted "Bad Girl" and actually very proud of it. She has never claimed to be a role model and actually doesn't want to be. With her you get what you get like it or not. Love her or hate her, this has been the "Year of The Ri". Her life has been a calling card for what you would expect of a popstar life. She has used her singing chops, body, and sexuality to create a career that seems to have no end in site. She doesn't hold back when anyone attacks her via Twitter by attacking them right back and isn't shy about her '"rich girl" lifestyle!
As she has made it clear, she is Unapologetic! With 27,000,0000+ million followers on Twitter, a rogue group of faithful fans who are described as her Navy, and a sex-appeal that hasn't been matched since the likes of Marilyn Monroe, naming Rihanna as this years Entertainer of the Year 2012 was about as easy a choice as ever! From her enviable looks, to her philanthropic donations, Rihanna is a transcending figure that will go down in history! Rihanna My Fabulous Style's 2012 Entertainer of the Year!!!!!!
