Karen Klein, a 68-year-old school bus monitor from Greece, New York. was subjected to an onslaught of needless, extreme, and vulgar insults and language by a group of 7th graders from Greece Athena Middle School. The video bullying lasted for 10-minutes, and the children said some extreme things to her continuously calling her fat, ugly, which ultimately leading her to cry. The video has gone viral and, in return, Karen has received national support, even prompting a fundraiser to send her on the "ultimate vacation." It states:
Above is a video of a 68-year-old bus monitor named Karen Klein being verbally harassed by a group of middle schoolers on their way home from Athena Middle School in Greece, New York. Throughout the ten minute video, you can hear the kids verbally berate the woman, calling her a bitch, fata@#, poor, ugly, and various other words of the like. At one point in the video, you can hear one of the kids yell, “You’re so f#$kin poor you fat a@#,” in which Karen responds, “I try to live by some of these words, I try and it’s really hard,” referring to the words on her purse. Now, I don’t know about you, but that broke my f@#$ing heart. There’s even a point in the video where one of the kids touches Karen’s arm in an attempt to make fun of her. I’m not sure why these kids would want to bully a senior citizen to tears, but I feel we should do something, or at least try.
She doesn't earn nearly enough ($15,506) to deal with some of the trash she is surrounded by. Lets give her something she will never forget, a vacation of a lifetime!
Some of the children have given her apologies, which were released by the police. Some of the parent's of the children have personally went to her home and offered apolgies. The children have begun receiving, death threats which Klein said she didn't like. The outpouring of support has been tremendous, Klein received a free family vacation for herself and nine additional family members from Southwest Airlines to Disneyland and as of now, the fundraiser for her has reached $495,000 dollars. Brad Pitt and Angelina may be closerto taking the plunge.
“We’d actually like to marry,” the Oscar nominee told The Hollywood Reporter, “and it seems to mean more and more to our kids. We made this declarationsome time ago that we weren’t going to do it till everyone can. But I don’t think we’ll be able to hold out. It means so much to my kids, and they ask a lot. And it means something to me, too, to make that kind of commitment.”
“But to be in love with someone and be raising a family with someone and want to make that commitment and not be able to is ludicrous, just ludicrous" Since Brad and Angelina proclaimed they would not go down the aisle until all couples could. Now, it admits they may not be able to wait
