Michelle Obamahugged the US Men's Olympic Team after they blew France out in their first Olympic Game of the 2012 Olympics. The guys, lead by Lebron James ,walked off the court over to The First Lady to a rousing standing ovation from the crowd. The game ended in a 98-71 win. The US team are th favorites to win and have been greatly compared to the 1992 "Dream Team," which included the likes of Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Charles Barkley, and Magic Johnson. Michelle seemed estatic at the win!
Lebron James finally has his ring. In pure Nike fashion, they created a commercial "The Ring Maker" which shows a jeweler who appears to be following James' career progresses. It seems as if it was just a matter of time for Lebron to claim his prize and the final product is a ring for a champ. Despite the nay-sayers and criticism, Lebron lead the Heat on a spectacular run!
Two Words: World Champions. Despite all the critics Lebron James received when he decided to go to the Miami Heat, he finally achieved the one thing he has waited his entire NBA career: WORLD CHAMPION. Lebron and the Heat beat the Oklahoma Thunder in a Game 5 series121-106, and was helped by a fine supporting cast. Mike Miller shot 3 pointer after 3 pointer after 3 pointer. Lebron did what Lebron does and took it to the hole, passes, finish the execution. So Congratuations to the Miam Heat from My Fabulous Style
Lebron James has weathered a very rough storm since his decision to go to the Miami Heat. He instantly became the league most "hated" athlete and in Cleveland fans, became a traitor. Many critics jumped on the bandwagon to bash this year's MVP, and even though Lebron said it motivated him, inside, he wanted to prove all the nay-sayers wrong, who said he would never get a ring and he didn't want it enough. He is, arguably, the best player in the league, but the one thing that has steered his reach is an NBA title. In order to be included in the talk discussion of greats basketball like Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, and Kobe Bryant, all elite basketball players have achieved the #1 reason to play in the NBA……. winning a ring!
Now, the league's best player is one game away from greatness. He has been very humble in his reaction, but the feeling must be gnawing at him. He probably wants to jump in jubilaion, but he must finish his quest. They came ever so close last year, getting to the NBA finals against the Dallas Mavericks, but Lebron was critized for not being a "finisher", especially under pressure. His performance last night Yielded an awe-inspiring moment for James. In the game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, many are calling a 3-point shot he made close to the end of the game, the "shot" his career.
James caught major cramps in both legs and enduring staggering pain, James had to get help on the sidelines from trainers. After some time, he came back in with the game tied and knocked down the 3-point shot of his life. James said of the play:
"I just wanted to step up and try to make a play," said James. "If I was out on the floor I was just trying to make a play with the limited mobility I had."
Now the Heat are 3-1 and are one game away from being the 2011-2012 NBA Champs. The Thunder are facing a bad bit of NBA history…..no team has ever come back from being down 3-1 in NBA History. The Heat look to close out the Thunder in Game 5 in Miami. Thursday.
If you haven't already the news, Lebron James will be named this years 2012 MVP. An anonymous source told the AP that he will get the coveted award, which will put him in the company of other NBA Greats. The award is given to the NBA player who played the best B-Ball of the season. "The King" is winning the award for the 3rd time in four seasons which is a feat in itself. Other greats that have three or more MVP awards are Michael Jordan, Kareem Abdul Jabar, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Wilt Chamberlain and Moses Malone.
James has said another MVP award would be great, but he has his eyes set on that NBA title. With all of his accomplishments in basketball, the NBA titlle has been the one that has eluded him since he began his NBA career. He has averaged 27.1 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 6.2 assists. The NBA will reveal the MVP award today! My Fabulous Style offers Lebron. Whether you like him or not, he deserves the award.
The NBA All-Star Teams are named for 2012 and set in stone. Most named are pretty much all the ones that get the most buzz in the NBA anyway. Orlando Magic'sDwight Howard had the most votes over-all.
He was followed by the likes of Chicago's Derrick Rose, Miami's Lebron James and Dwayne Wade and New York's Carmelo Anthony round out the Eastern Conference.
L.A. Laker's Kobe Bryant and Andrew Bynum rounded out Western Conference along with L.A. Clipper's Blake Griffin and Chris Paul, and don't forget Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant.
It all goes down Feb. 26, 2012, in Orlando. B.T.W., it is the first time in 15 years that two pairs of teammates from one conference have been voted to start!
There is a new team in town takin L.A. by storm. It is a great time to be anL.A. Clippers fan. Blake Griffen pulled off what some are calling "the best dunk of all time ." Now, there have been great dunks before, but this has to be the sickest dunk ever! He already has the hype of being a great dunker but last night was off the charts. It even sent Twitterville into a whirlwind. Blake set the bar high for future dunks.
It happened in the third quarter of the game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The best way to describe it is "purely exciting." It wasn't for show and it seems to come naturally for him. You see, he dunked on one of the top defenders, Kendrick Perkins. You have to see if for yourself. The crowd went totally wild! The dunk even made Lebron "blush" by stating his previous super dunk the day before made him 2nd now.

Check out other Blake Griffin Dunks from time's past.
Say What you will about Lebron James, but there is a reason why they call him "The King". Just when you think you have seen everything there is to see from him, Dwayne Wade set him up for a sick Alley-Oop over the Chicago Bull's John Lucas. If you didn't know any better, you would thing they were doing it for a movie. Check it out for yourself!
