Details Emerge In The Death of Legendary Singer Whitney Houston
New details have began to emerge in the death of legendary singer Whitney Houston. The 48-year-old singer was at The Beverly Hills Hotel.
Her body was discovered by someone in her entourage on the 4th floor. 911 was called and quickly arrived at 3:43 p.m. Paramedics performed C.P.R. with no avail.
Her body was found in the bathtub
She was pronouned dead at 3:55 p.m.
She was identified by members of her family and friends.
Bobby Brown is in Mississippi tonight performing with New Edition.
Sources said when he was told of her death, he is devasted and is said to be in and out of crying spells, but will try to go and make it through the entire performance. He is surrounded by friends who will, in deed, support him through this time.
Update: According to TMZ, law enforcement want to obtain a search warrent before entering the hotel room where Houston passed.
Update: According to TMZ, Sources said Whitney and some people that were with her "partied hard" the night before Clive's Party in which she was supposed to perform. They say she and the crew she was with was drinking, and very loud at the bar.
Whitney Houston apparently took Xanax before going on stage in front of crowds of people to calm her nerves. The people surrounding her knew she took Xanax, but said they didn't see her take Xanax, she would only tell them she took it. They don't know how many as well. According to sources, she didn't mention taking Xanax the day of her death.
Whitney was schedule to perform at the Clive Davis party last night and was said to be in high spirits and looking very forward to performing.
According to sources, two her bodyguard and her stylist were in the room at the time. They had become worried when she hadn't come out and it was time to get ready for the party. The stylist knocked on the door and didn't recieve any answer. She went in, screamed, the bodyguard entered and pulled Whitney out of the tub.
It appeared, as if, she had slid in the water because her legs were up and she was underwater. The bodyguard attempted CPR, hotel security alerted to call 911, paramedics arrived attempted CPR and the singer was pronounced dead at 3:55P.M.
Right now there is only speculation as to how she may have died. The coronor will be performing an autopsy. Story continues to develop.
Update: An autoposy is scheduled for today, Sunday. Law enforcement are saying Beverly Hills Police gathered around 6 pill bottles including the prescription drug Xanaz. No illegal drugs were found.
