Michelle Obama covers Vogue Magazine for a second time, first covering the magazine in March 2009 when President Obama first won the Presidency.  She looks chic in a blue Reed Krakoff ensemble as she stares confidently into the camera. The spread was shot by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz.  FLOTUS discusses family and critics in the April 2013 edition of the magazine. She says that women should wear what makes them feel good about themselves.

 

She also discusses her family and what is important to them.   She says her and the President seek to spend free time with their daughters, Sasha and Malia, adding their job first and foremost is to make them whole.  She also speaks about giving their daughters a sense of normalcy in the White House stating the Secret Service have become more flexible to help insure that they have a normal life!  You can check out the full interview when it hits newsstands.

All eyes were on Michelle Obama's fashion as it was "top secret" on what she would wear to the Inauguration and what she would wear to the Inauguration Ball, even the designers didn't know until the moment she was revealed on T.V.  

 

For Thom Browne, he hit the fashion lottery jackpot yesterday, as the first lady wore a beautiful navy-silk jacquard checkered pattern coat and dress, custom-designed for her.  He found out while in Paris when he began seeing messages.    In a phone interview, he said it was overwhelming, adding its one of those things you never forget!  He was invited to submit ideas months ago.

 

 

For the designer Jason Wu, he got to experience de ja vu, as The First Lady wore a beautiful, red, loose-fit, one-shoulder velvet-chiffon gown.  She had already worn a white gown he designed in 2009 at The Inauguration Ball, which catapulted Jason's career.  Many fashion critics thought she was going to wear a blue dress and wear an unknown designer, but still agreed, her choice was a great, safe choice.

 

Jason says he thought red would be a great color for her because it was a "confident color for her and it was his first instinct."    Jason didn't find out she was going to wear the custom-made gown until she appeared on R.V.  Last night, he tweeted #InShock!  She also paired the outfit with a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes.

 

For all the designer's she wore yesterday, their work will live in history as all the fashions will be go on display in the National Museum.

Michelle Obama delivered at the DNC Tuesday night.  Looking beautiful and speaking eloquently about her love for Barack and at times getting teary eyed as she described the emotion that Barack feels when he reads letters of despair some Americans experience in their lives.  Michelle told the excited crowd, "Barack knows the American Dream because he has lived it.  She had many in the audience enthroned in her passionate plea to their constituents to remember the vision that Barack set out to do for the Americaan people and do what they can to get fired back up and help him get re-elected

She continued to create a very vivid picture of Barack's policies and said that for him these things are personal and you can't seperate two.  Barack watched from the White House along with their two daughters.  Michelle went into the convention with the best favorability among all political figures.  The Democrats are creating an air that this election is about a choice…two different platforms and its up to you to decide which one is the right one for the direction of the country.

FLOTUS, Michelle Obama, faced is interposed on a Spanish magazine, Magazine de Fuera de Serie on a portrait done by French painter Marie-Guillemine Benoist in the early 1800's.  The famed portrait was of a former slave done after the abolition of slavery.  The portrait has been helmed by some as a representation of the emancipation of slavery at the time.  The magazine maintains it is paying homage to a FLOTUS being a strong woman who stands by her husband.  They refer to her as the "gran mujer" (great woman).  Some, however, are saying that it is disrespectful, racist, and is too provacative.

Barack Michelle Obama: Aww KISS KISS CAM

 

 

Barack and Michelle Obama arrived yesterday to watch the U.S. Men's Olympic Team take on Brazil at an exhibition game to roaring cheers at the Verizon Center.  The pair ended up on the Kiss Cam, which is when a couple appears on a large jumbo screen and are expected to kiss.  Barack may have been clueless as he smiled for the camera, but didn't kiss Michelle.  Some in the crowd were not pleased, and subsequently booed.  Well, when you are POTUS, you can get a second chance, which he did.  This time, he got it right.  

 

During the 4th quarter, the pair appeared before a crowd of thousands, yet again, and Barack kissed Michelle.  This time he received rousing cheers and its reported the crowd chanted Four More Years!!!!  Whitehouse spokesman, Josh Earnest, says of their missing the first opportunity:

 

"This was the subject of some high-level conversations on the helicopter en route to Andrews Air Force base this morning."  "I can tell you, based on a very good source, that reports that the president was rebuffed are false."

Earnest said the Obamas noticed that their images were on a large screen during the first half of the game and smiled, but didn't realize that "their images were on the screen in conjunction with the Kiss Cam." They didn't know about the Kiss Cam until halftime, when they first saw their daughters Malia and Sasha, who asked why they didn't kiss for the cameras.

"So during Act 2 of the Kiss Cam promotion, the president managed to steal a kiss from his wife."

Police Officer Allegedly Said He's Going To Harm Michelle Obama

 

 

 

Michelle Obama, our First Lady, has been threatned.  An offier is alledged to have said he would shoot her and he also looked up the gun he said he would shoot her with on a phone.   

 

The Post says that The Secret Service have been notified and the Metropolitan Police are investigating.  The officer has been moved to adminstrative duty while the investigation proceeds.

 

The motorman allegedly made the comments Wednesday morning as several officers from the Special Operations Division discussed threats against President Obama. It was not immediately clear where the alleged conversation took place or exactly how many officers took part in the conversation.

During that conversation, the officials said, the officer allegedly said he would shoot the First Lady and then used his phone to retrieve a picture of the firearm he said he would use. It was not immediately clear what type of firearm was allegedly shown.

An officer overheard the alleged threat and reported it to a police lieutenant at the Division, who immediately notified superiors, the officials said.

Michelle Obama and Barack Obama were in Georgia yesterday at Fort Stewart Walk helping to mourn soldiers who have passed.  He also signed an order that would help military families.  Michelle, who is known for her dashing style, looked fabulous in a deep colored, red dress, pearls and flat shoes.

 

What caught the eye of many was the affection the pair shared.  They were seen holding hand and kissing at times.  This was just another reminder of what a great couple they make and the great chemistry they have.

POTUS appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show via webcam today and showed an old prom picture showing some major leg.  The two powerhoused chatted with a group teenage girls who have military parents. Seeing that it is prom time, the two decided to do a photo swap of past prom pics with Ellen revealing hers first.  When Michelle's was revealed it showed her seated in a chair with a 70's metallic gold dress with a high slit up the left sideof her leg.  Who knew!
