Robin Roberts Recovering from Bone Marrow Transplant Looks Amazing

 

Robin Roberts looked absolutely amazing Friday as she attend the private wedding ceremony of her colleague Sam Champion. Roberts, who is currently recovering from a bone marrow transplant wore a sequence red dress and courageously showed off her shaved head.

 

Roberts is a face of courage and strength, a true survivor. Roberts, who announced in June that she had MDS (myelodsplastic syndrome) which is a disease of the blood and bone marrow, went through a course of chemotherapy. Later, she underwent a bone marrow transplant and her sister was the compatible donor.  

 

This is not the first time the GMA anchor has shared her battle with cancer. In August 2007, Roberts announced she had been diagnosed with early stage breast cancer.The courageous anchor woman shared that journey with GMA viewers and even shaved her head on the show in 2007.  

 

 

Even though Roberts is currently on medical leave, she continues to update GMA viewers and her fans with video messages on  ABC News and through twitter. My Fabulous Style continues to pray for strength and healing for Ms. Roberts.

Time For Healing For Good Morning America's Anchor Robin Roberts

 

 

 

Robin Roberts time for healing continues today as Good Morning America anchor Robing Robins heads to the hospital to continue her fight with MDS or myelodsplastic syndrome. Robins is set to have a bone marrow transplant to fight the MDS. The GMA host sent out a tweet this morning to her fans and people that love her letting everyone know she is focusing on getting better. Ms. Roberts is a strong, genuine, beautiful, and compassionate person that many can relate to. My Fabulous Style is praying for a healthy and speedy recovery for Ms. Roberts.

Robin Roberts: Loses Her Mom As She Fights Cancer

 

 

 

 

GMA's host Robin Roberts has been battling her courageous fight with cancer and has had to deal with the more tragic news.  As of yesterday she lost her mother, Lucimarian Roberts.  Her, mother, 88, died Thursday night in Mississippi, which is experiencing major flooding from the Isaac storm.  The death comes as Roberts announced she was leaving GMA for her medical leave to geta bone marrow transplant.  Robin said in a statement on Facebook:

 

 "A CD of her favorite hymns is playing in her room. So thankful for my sister, Dorothy, and the nurses who have been caring for her. I will cherish these moments I have with mom. Then focus on what is ahead of me undergoing a bone marrow transplant."

Robin Roberts I Have MDS but I'm Going To Beat This

 

 

Robin Roberts, Good Morning American anchor, announced earlier today that she has MSD. MSD is a malignant disorder of the bone marrow sometimes referred to as pre-leukemia. Roberts, 51, beat breast cancer five years ago and she learned about the diagnoses on what was also supposed to be an exciting day. The day "GMC" beat NBC's "Today" show in ratings for the first time in 16 years was bittersweet for Roberts.

 

Roberts handled the emotional situation with grace and poise, explaining her course of treatment to the world.  This fall she expects to have a bone marrow transplant and her sister will be the donor.
