They Call Him Prince

 

Prince has been a timeless artist for over 30+ years and he covers Billboard Magazine looking youthful and chic.  

 

The 54-year-old dons his new signature mini-afro, some futuristic glasses and a black and blue trimmed suit-coat giving a rare interview.  Prince is very adamant about not giving many interviews and not allowing records of interviews, as he says a reporter in the past recorded his voice and sold it.

 

Excerpts from the Interview:

 

One thing you learn quickly about Prince: He doesn't suffer fools or folks who don't know what they're talking about. For the next three hours, we ricochet back and forth on a variety of topics. Later, back at my hotel, I'll be re-creating our conversation from memory. This is how Prince interviews have unfolded for many years. He remains adamant about not allowing reporters to record their conversations with him. ("Some in the past have taken my voice and sold it," he says. "I can't remember the incident that triggered it and it's probably best that I don't.") And he still frowns at the idea of a reporter taking notes. ("That would be just like texting.")

 

Later on, I will watch Prince audition a drummer. Right now, I'm involved in an audition of my own. "Let's talk a little," Prince says as I follow him into a second-floor conference room, "and see if we vibe first." Without missing a beat and keeping steady eye contact, he makes a few comments about media ownership and control, then shoots out a question. How would I get the word out about, and then monetize a lyric video for, one of his new songs, "Screw Driver," that I'd been shown a few minutes earlier? I tell him an online post will generate enough interest to get us to monetization-given the fan clamor for new Prince music, there's a community ready to pay a nominal price to get their hands on said track. Nothing revolutionary, but Prince pauses and thinks it over. I think I may have passed the audition.

 

It's a 40-minute drive from the airport to the Minneapolis suburb of Chanhassen, Minn. As the driver makes a left turn, two stark white buildings materialize seemingly out of nowhere. Other than a small gray sign at the foot of the driveway noting the address and where trucks should make deliveries, there is no signage or any other vehicles, let alone human activity. The cabbie, hesitant as to whether we've found the right place, keeps the meter running for the three minutes it takes for someone to come outside and let me in. But there's no denying the aura: This is Paisley Park.

Penelope looks demure, chic, and sophisticated as she models some of the brands pieces inspired by artist Salvador Dali's wife, Gala.  

 

Penelope says that this particular job is important to her and the brands CEO, Lisa Montague says that Cruz is the perfect ambassador who represents their values of passion, authencity, and excellence.

Bobbi Brown Gets Katie Holmes

 

Bobbi Brown is a make-up artist of mass-proportions and her brand has become so loved by her loyal customers and successful, that she has taken to hiring her first-ever celebrity spokesperson, which happens to be Katie Holmes.  Katie looks stylish and pretty as a picture with loose curls, lightly-toned, fresh makeup and a dark, smoky eyes in the ad.  They have just  released the first of ad for the campaign!  

 

Katie will also help design a capsule cosmetic line for the brand.  Bobbi chose Katie personally and says she was looking for someone their customers could relate too, not neceessarily a celeb.  Would you buy the cosmetics because of Katie's affiliation?

Rihanna ad for Barbados Tourism has been released and she shows a fun, playful side too herself that the public sometimes doesn't get a chance to see very much.  She is the tourism ambassador for Barbados and it her ads will run only through social media.  You see Rihanna playing around, happily smiling as her song "Diamonds" plays in the background.  Scenes alternate between her on the beach and riding on a trial in the woods.

 

  More Rihanna tourism clip are on the way and the campaign is will run through February.  Do you think this will increase Barbados tourism?

Gok Wan is trying his hand at creating fabulous lingerie and he begins with plus-sized lingerie.  Michelle, from Milk Model Management looks amazing in several designer by the designer.  The shots appear in Slink Magazine, which is a magazine that emphasizes plus-size fashion.

The collection Gok does with Simply Be always feels romantic, vintage and super glamorous and puts other shapewear to shame. We really wanted to celebrate the fact that for once there is an exclusive collection for curvier women that feels fresh, modern and totally sexy as well as having a fantastic functional aspect. The shoot was based around the theatrics of showgirls and oozes the glamour that every woman can feel in Gok’s amazing lingerie collection.

Are they or Aren't they are questions that the public have been asking about whether or not Rihanna and Chris Brown are a couple.  One thing for sure is that whatever they are doing they feel that it isn't anyone's business. Korean rapper Psy has become an international hit seemingly overnight.  Just when you thought the song had reached its peak, someone by the name of Edward, put a Halloween spin to the song decorating his home with 8,500 litted lights that mimic Psy's song.
