Today's Aaliyah's Birthday

Today would be the late R & B singer, Aaliyah's 34th birthday.  Unfortunately, the singer died in a terrible plane crash on August 25, 2001, shocking the music world and her loyal fans alike.

aaliyah20

She was a humbled star who was on the verge on mega-stardom, conquering music and at the time of her death, transitioning into a budding acting career!  She had a sultry voice, chic style, and movie star looks that made her a triple threat.  Her style is still emulated today by others who looked up, both personally and musically.   Many people believed she helped pave the way for some R & B divas today!

Even though she is gone, her fans can take solace in knowing that her spirit and music lives on and she will forever be remembered as simply "Baby Girl."  Happy Birthday Aaliyah!!!!!!
