Listen: Whitney Houston Celebrate Written by R. Kelly

 

 

It has been over three months since the death of legendary singer Whitney Houston.  She filmed the movie Sparkle last year, which would be the last film she would ever complete.  A song called "Celebrate" which was written by R.Kelly has been released and it is the last song she ever recorded.  She recorded the song with co-star in the movie Jordin Sparkle.  Whitney recorded the song just four days before her death.

Bobbi Kristina and Family Get a Lifetime Reality Show

 

 

Bobbi Kristina and the Houston Family have inked a deal to star in a reality Lifetime network called "The Houston Chronicles."  It will focus on Pat Houston, Whitney's sister-in-law/manager , Pat's daughter, Rayah, Whitney's brother, Gary and Whitney's mother Cissy.  The show will chronicle them trying to face life without Whitney Houston who was found dead in a hotel room early February 2012.  The show will also feature Dionne Warwick and CeCe Winans and show how they will help Bobbi Kristina navigate the world without her beloved mother.  Lifetime's EPV, Rob Sharenow, says of the show:

 

"In this series, the multi-generations of the Houston family will bravely reveal their lives as they bond together to heal, love, and grow."

Whitney Houston 'Sparkles' In New Trailer

 

 

 

Whitney Houston was on the road to a major comeback and a part of that comeback was doing the remake of the movie "Sparkle".  A clip of the trailer was released today and played on the "Today",  giving you a first look at the singer along with Cee-Lo & Jordin Sparks.  The official synopsis states:

 

"Musical prodigy Sparkle (Sparks) struggles to become a star while overcoming issues that are tearing her family apart. From an affluent Detroit area and daughter to a single mother (Whitney Houston), she tries to balance a new romance with music manager, Stix (Derek Luke) while dealing with the unexpected challenges her new life will bring as she and her two sisters (Carmen Ejogo and Tika Sumpter) strive to become a dynamic singing group during the Motown-era."

 

 

 

 

Many who worked with the singer on the movie said she delivered a powerful performance, possibly Oscar-contending.  They were originally going to remake the movie in 2001, with the late singer Aaliyah set to play Jordin Sparks character at the time.   Aaliyah suddenly passed away and the movie was put on hold.

Cissy Houston, Whitney Houston's mother, believes Bobby Brown's recent arrest proves what she has said all along.  She previously said that Bobby Brown was a bad influence on, Bobbi Kristina, Whitney & Bobby's only child together.  Sources close to Cissy told TMZ that Cissy feels Bobby has always been a cancer who infected Whitney's life with bad influences.

 

When she heard of Bobby Brown's arrest, she felt vindicated when she found out about his arrest and feels this is why he should keep his distance from Bobbi Kristina.  She wants Bobbi Kristina to be around positive mentors like Clive Davis.

Breaking News: Whitney Houston Cause of Death

 

 

Whitney Houston's death has been declared as "accidental drowning" by the coroner.  The coroner just released the report of her official cause of death and even though it is declared as an accidental drowning, the coroner report indicated that there was cocaine in her system and she had heart disease, both being contributing factors.   Sources close to the situation says it is very possible Whitney had a heart attack which caused her to become unconscious and then drown.

 

TMZ reports that the heart attack may have been triggered by the hardening of the arteries as a result of cocaine use.  There was no cocaine found in the hotel room.  There is no foul play suspected even though family members have suggested. 

 

The family has released a statement:

"The Houston family has released a statement which says, “We are saddened to learn of the toxicology results, although we are glad to now have closure.”

Whitney Houston Death Investigation Update

 

 

 

The coroner the did Whitney Houston's autopsy has yet to release the official cause of the death of Whitney Houston.  There has been much speculation that Whitney may have died of a deadly mix of prescription pills and alcohol.  Some reports were stating that her death would be ruled an "accident".

 

Now the L.A. Coroners Office is receiving calls and emails from people claiming to be Whitney's family and some claiming to be from Bobby Brown's family claiming that Whitney may have been murdered.  TMZ says at least one person says they have information to support the murder theory.  

 

The person claims that a family member may have been the cause of Whitney's demise, but had no proof to support the claim.  The Coroner's office hasn't confirmed if the calls came officially from Whitney's family

 

The Coroner has previously said there were no signs of foul play.  An official cause of death can't be determined until toxicology reports are returned.

The reason Bobbi Kristina, Whitney Houston's only child, did the interview with Oprah is because she trusts Oprah.  She maintains Oprah was a close family friend and she felt O would be respectful.  TMZ says that Bobbi is telling freinds that Oprah "was loyal to my mom,or never did my mother wrong, or made her look bad.  She always looked out for my mom."

 

 

 Oprah is said to be one of the first people to reach out to her and she feels that Oprah is going to show her the same respect as she did her mother, not bringing up things that will make her look bad.  The interview airs this coming Sunday on OWN.  No word if Bobbi was paid for the interview.

TMZ reports Whitney's secret son is unwelcome in Whitney's family home in Atlanta.  Apparently, Cissy Houston, Whitney's mom, wants all people and bad influences out of Bobbi Kristina's life and she feels he is one of them.  Almost 10 years ago, Whitney allowed, Nick Gordon, to come live with them when she found out his mother could no longer care for him.

 

 

 

Cissy wants him out of the family home in Atlanta ASAP and Cissy has informed the family lawyers if he tries to fight.  Some reports say that his is in Whitney's will but there has been no confirmation.
